Iron Replacement at HOAF
Iron Replacement
Severe iron-deficiency anemia may require intravenous iron infusions, during which iron-containing medicine is infused directly into the bloodstream through an IV.
We offer intravenous iron replacement for multiple illnesses, including chronic kidney disease, anemia, and other disorders. The iron replacement process usually consists of two treatments, seven days apart, followed by follow-up labs and a visit with our hematology staff four to six weeks later.
