Hematology & Oncology Specialist
Dr. Jong An joined HOAF in 2022, bring with him many years of experience and dedication to his patients’ care.

Dr. An came to HOAF after retiring from U.S. Army after 24 years of distinguished service. He earned a
full academic scholarship from US Army where he went on to complete Internal Medicine residency and
hematology oncology fellowship at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Between residency and
fellowship, he worked as an internal medicine physician for five years in U.S. Army hospital in overseas.
After fellowship he worked as chief of hematology and oncology service at Womack Army Medical
Center in North Carolina as well as staff hematologist oncologist at fort Belvoir community hospital in
Virginia before joining HOAF. Dr. Jong An is Board Certified in internal medicine, hematology, and
Dr. An has published numerous articles on hematology and oncology in professional journals and
participated in numerous medical research projects. Dr. An enjoys challenging cases and he looks
forward to providing his patients with evidence-based cutting-edge care. He looks to provide hope for all
his patients and their families. He is married over 24 years with three children. He enjoys running and
traveling and always looks forward to developing new hobbies in Fredericksburg.
