Dr. Bonny L. Moore, MD
Hematology & Oncology Specialist
Dr. Moore joined HOAF in 2017, bringing with her years of experience and a deep sense of caring. Here, she draws upon her love of family and respect for others to treat patients with the utmost compassion. “My family is very important to me,” says Dr. Moore. “With that in mind, I try to treat each patient of mine as I would want my loved one to be treated.”
Board certified in hematology, oncology, and internal medicine, Dr. Moore’s background includes research and publication in a number of medical specialties. After double majoring in Chemistry and French at the University of Virginia, Dr. Moore earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2009. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke and her fellowship in hematology/oncology at VCU Health System/Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband and their pets! They have three dogs, six cats and a true passion for helping animals, as they prove by volunteering routinely at area animal shelters. She’s also an avid football and basketball fan, attending as many UVA games as possible.
